Telephone Feedback and Coaching on Leadership Competencies:

We have recently completed Phase 1 of a telephone feedback and coaching project for 75 senior managers based globally. The process entailed reviewing their effectiveness in a range of competencies as presented in their 360 reports, providing feedback and coaching and preparing a summary report. As part of the service, also provided appropriate learning materials to individuals. Phase 2 of this service will commence in mid 2008 for approximately an additional 75 senior managers.

Career Management Coaching - Local Government

We have recently completed a project with a London-based Council as part of a transformational change project. Central to the project was enabling middle managers to manage career transitions and provide them with the necessary support to develop an effective way forward. 150 middle managers were affected by the change. This process was designed to address individual strengths and development needs in the context of changes in the role of middle managers. The process was based on a bespoke competency framework which included a set of leadership competencies.

Coaching Projects

Examples of organisations include local government, international development education, police, chemicals distribution, manufacturing and housing associations.

Leadership Coaching: ODRL has extensive experience of providing one-to-one coaching to leaders in a range of organisations using a variety of diagnostic techniques such as the Emotional Competence 360° Feedback Inventory, bespoke 360° reports, leadership development centres and psychometric assessments.

High Performance Coaching: Using a set of tools and techniques, we provide one-to-one coaching to managers to achieve their full potential. Typically, this entails clarifying expectations, developing a roadmap to be followed, taking stock of issues, allowing individuals to experiment with new concepts, providing necessary support and monitoring performance on a regular basis.                                        

Coaching for Career Development: This covers both one-to-one coaching and running group workshops. Typically, this is in the context of organisation restructuring/change. We have developed tools and techniques to enable people to manage career transitions effectively.

Cross-Cultural Coaching: It is critical for managers handling overseas assignments or working in the global context to have a deep understanding of the influence of culture on working practices. We have designed coaching programmes covering cross-cultural team-working, cross-cultural communication and cross-cultural management. The underpinning ethos of these programmes is to leverage cultural diversity as a source of competitive advantage and develop practical strategies for personal effectiveness.
